Instructions
Set up Kindcourt in an afternoon.
Everything a buyer needs: copying the template, replacing the sample firm, the CMS, forms, the theme toggle and what to check before going live.
Quick answers
The questions buyers ask first.
Where is the remix link?
In your purchase email and on the delivery page you reach after checkout. Open it, sign in to Framer and click Copy to add Kindcourt to your workspace.
Do I need a paid Framer plan?
No. You can copy and edit the template on Framer’s free plan. You only need a paid site plan when you want your own domain or more than the free plan allows.
It opens but I can’t edit it
You are viewing the remix page while signed out. Sign in to Framer, open the remix link again and click Copy; the copy in your workspace is fully editable.
The theme toggle does nothing on the canvas
That’s expected. The light/dark toggle runs only in Preview and on the published site, not on the editor canvas. Colours switch from each colour style’s Light and Dark values.
Where do form submissions go?
Nowhere until you set it. Select each form and choose a destination (email or webhook) in the right panel before publishing.
How do I get help?
Email support at nibforge@gmail.com, replies within 2 business days.
Setup
Step by step.
1. Firm details
Replace “Kindcourt Family Law (sample firm)”, phone (555) 018-6420, email and address in the Nav and Footer components and on About and Contact. Search the project for “sample”.
2. CMS
Six collections: Practice areas, Attorneys, Outcomes, Blog posts, Client stories and FAQs. Edit or delete the sample items; detail pages exist for practice areas, attorneys and blog posts, each with SEO title and description fields.
3. Blog
Blog posts have Category, Featured, Author, Author role, Author initials, Read time, Date, Excerpt, Body and Cover image. Turn on Featured for the one post shown in the large card on /blog; all others appear in the grid. Related posts on each post exclude the current one.
4. Photos
The template ships without photos. Attorney cards use an initials arch; to show portraits, select a Monogram frame and set its fill to the Photo field. Blog posts have an optional Cover image field.
5. Colours and fonts
Assets → Colors: every colour has a Light and Dark value. Fonts are Young Serif and Figtree (Google Fonts).
6. Forms
Consultation, Case review and Contact forms each need a destination. The case review “Link to documents or photos” field is a URL field: visitors paste a share link; no files are uploaded.
7. Fees and estimates
Edit the consultation options and fee models on /fees, and the Starting fee / Typical timeline fields in CMS → Practice areas. Keep the “Estimate only… may change” warning.
8. Line art
Each LineArt instance has controls for drawing, line and accent colour, stroke, walking dot, draw-in, duration, delay and alt text.
9. Legal wording
Disclaimers, the confidentiality notice and the Privacy page are sample wording, not legal advice. Check your state bar’s advertising rules (testimonials and past results especially) before publishing.
10. SEO
Every page has a title and description in Page settings. Update them, add your social image and favicon in Site settings, then publish.
